Esprit showing winning form

Junior Offshore Group race to St Vaast.

Esprit raced from Cowes to St Vaast last weekend. Despite some of the crew suffering a little "mal de mer" on the way out overnight, they had a splendid weekend coming second in their Class. After a pleasant meal and a good night in this pretty Normandy fishing port they had a perfect sail back to Poole on Sunday.

Lucy Macgregor

Miami Bronze!.

Jim's daughter, Lucy Macgregor heads Britains top ladies match racing team. Listed at No 3 in the ISAF World Rankings, they are campaigning to represent GBR at the London Olympics in 2012. "Last Friday saw the end of a great week of racing for us match racers at the Rolex Miami OCR. One hundred and thirty something races run by the committee, twenty-seven of which we raced and twenty-one of which we won… all resulting in a bronze medal for Annie, Ally and myself." Flair V with dolphin

Sailing on a Corporate Day outside Poole Harbour recently, we came across a family of dolphins. They seemed to like our new boats and played with us for a few minutes to the delight of our guests. Fortunately I managed to get this lovely shot of Flair V racing with a dolphin. ps. The dolphin won!

It's time to start making plans for your 2009 events!

We firmly believe that Poole Harbour is a very special venue for Yachting and although much of our competitive racing and some Corporate Sailing will be Solent based, our most successful Corporate Sailing Days in the past, and I'm sure in the future, will be based in Poole.  The new Yachts are already booked for some of the major race events so the calendar is already filling up".

The spectacular Bournemouth Air Festival returns in August 2009 and is an unmissable event. Where better to get the best view of all the action than from your own luxury yacht anchored off the end of Bournemouth pier?

Power and sail day. Sunseeker 48 plus sleek Elans give you the best of both worlds. Relax on board your luxurious Sunseeker as you speed across the waves at 30 knots or enjoy the thrill of sailing a thoroughbred racing yacht. Hoist the spinnaker and sail along the spectacular Jurassic coast. Dine ashore at one of Dorsets finest restaurants or anchor in beautiful Studland Bay for an al fresco buffet lunch, the choice is yours.

The new Olympic sailing discipline for the 2012 Olympic Regatta in Weymouth will be Match Racing. This is an exciting battle of skill and wits between the crews of two equally matched boats as seen in the fabulous Americas Cup. We are able to provide an exciting and interesting opportunity to participate in this thrilling new sport. Ask Jim for details!
